2012 Week 11 4* NFL Pick: Buccaneers -1

Don’t look now but the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are 4-1 ATS in their last five games in outscoring their opponents by over 12 points on 437 yards per game. While its defense has been week, allowing over 401 yards per game, the CAROLINA PANTHERS offense has slowed, averaging only 18 points per game this season. Having opened the season powering only 10 points per game versus the Bucs, there seems little evidence that the Panthers could muster the 40+ points they averaged in this series in 2011 to defeat Tampa’s 2nd ranked Road rushing attack. Look for the Buccaneers 5th ranked rushing attack with 147.8 yards per game to control the game, and force a frustrated Newton, 77.2 rating, into the mistakes that make the difference.
