Week 16 NFL Pick is PANTHERS -7.5

Newton may only have a 82.3 rating, but his Panthers are averaging over 30 ppg in their last 5 games. Trouble for a Bucs team that has lost by an average of 12 in their last 5, and are 2-4 ATS on the Road in 2011.

WINNER>> CAROLINA 48 – TAMPA BAY 16 >> Cam Newton passed for 171 yards and three touchdowns and he added another score on a 49-yard run, as the Carolina Panthers beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 48-16. Carolina (6-9) led 20-10 at the half, but broke it open with a 21-point third quarter. Newton broke Peyton Manning’s NFL rookie record for yards passing in a season with his performance. DeAngelo Williams added two touchdowns and 66 rushing yards for the Panthers. Carolina’s Brandon LaFell had 103 yards receiving and a score on three receptions. Tampa Bay (4-11) had four turnovers, including three fumbles. Quarterback Josh Freeman passed for 274 yards for the Buccaneers, who lost their ninth straight game.
